The SC-R Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer Grating or the FRP Grating make up the core of the FRP range, providing flooring, step and walkway solutions in heavy duty applications, such as factories, workshops and Offshore platforms.
SC-R Mini and Micro Mesh FRP systems offer an excellent alternative to conventional flooring products providing the ultimate in corrosion resistance and slip protection. The small mini and micro mesh opening allow the use for wheelchair access ramps.

SC-R FRP Cover Plate Grating
All grates are available with a covered top. Typically a 3mm thick solid frp plate is bonded to a 38 x 38mm square mesh grating to create a light but strong panel. SC-R Cover Plate Grating are available in smooth, chequer plate or gritted finish and make ideal trench covers, walkways, cable throughs and pit covers.
SC-R Translucent FRP Grating
Staircare SC-R translucent FRP grating is available in many different forms and can be supplied with a smooth or silicon carbide anti slip grit finish. SC-R translucent helps create a light and airy space, but still offers all FRP resilience advantages.
Installation of SC-R FRP Grating
We recommend a bearing support surface of at least 40mm
Fastening and Joining Clips
Staircare SC-R offers three standard fastening and joining clips; available in stainless steel 316. A minimum of four clips per standard panel should be used.
‘L’ Clip
For securing grating to support frames for moderate load.
‘M’ Clip
To position grating on a support structure and restrain all movement.
‘C’ Clip
To connect two adjacent unsupported grating bars.
