Large engineering shop improving worker fatigue in addition to standing on lubricant and swarf.
The Task
Design, manufacture and supply Staircare FRP work platforms made entirely from composite FRP components, including; 38 x 38 square mesh and a combination of FRP C-Channels, angles and square hollow sections (SHS) supports.
SC-R machine work platform stands are industrial strength with a silicon carbide anti slip grit offering Class P5 slip resistance protecting. Staircare FRP materials have high corrosion protection and very good resistance to fumes and chemicals such as: acid, alkali, solvent liquids and petro chemical spillage. They are made to measure to achieve optimal working height.
Certification
Staircare SC-R structures conform with:
- AS 1657:2018: Fixed platforms, walkways, stairways and ladders – Design, construction and installation.
- AS 4586:2013: Slip resistance classification of new pedestrian surface materials
Result
Designed to increase the comfort and safety of machine operators and at the same time reduce the risk of back injuries and fatigue. Platforms are made with easy interlocking sections to allow cleaning of swarf, cuttings and lubricants.
